Terms of Service
Effective 30 August 2026
Ponderfish is a place to keep ideas alive — made by Koalition Interactive, LLC (Brooklyn, New York, USA). Using it means you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, not to intimidate; the plain meaning is the intended one.
The service
Ponderfish lets you capture ideas, grow them through stages, share them into communal ponds, and connect outside clients through an API. It is a young service: features may change, move, or occasionally break while the water settles. We'll treat your data with care regardless.
Your account
You need to be at least 13, give a real email address, and keep your credentials to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account and your API tokens; revoke a token if you think it leaked.
Your ideas are yours
Everything you put in your pond belongs to you. You give us only the license we need to operate the service: to store your content and display it back to you and to the members of ponds you deliberately share it into. We claim no other rights, and we don't use your content to train AI models.
What you agree not to do
- Break the law, or store content that does.
- Abuse the API (scraping other people's data, circumventing limits, disrupting the service).
- Try to access ponds or ideas you weren't given access to.
- Resell the service as your own.
We can suspend or close accounts that do these things. We'll say why, unless the law prevents it.
The deep end (the paid tier)
The free tier includes unlimited bubbles and twenty kept ideas. The deep end is $4.99 a month, billed through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from the billing portal; your subscription runs to the end of the paid period, and nothing is deleted when it lapses — ideas over the free limit stay readable, you just can't keep new ones past the limit. Prices can change; if they do for you, you'll be told before you're charged. Refunds are at our discretion — write to us and we'll be reasonable.
The newsletter
Catch of the Week is free, needs no account, and every issue has an unsubscribe link that works.
Endings
You can stop using Ponderfish at any time and ask us to delete everything. We can discontinue the service; if we ever do, we'll give notice and a way to take your ideas with you.
The unavoidable part
Ponderfish is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. If we change them meaningfully, the new version appears here with a new date, and continued use means acceptance. See also the privacy policy.
